The 5th Annual Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival at the Kingman and Heritage Islands Park.

The festival will feature DC’s hottest food trucks, beers from Sierra Nevada, kayaks, climbing wall, and outdoor classes from REI, bike giveaways and bike demos from BicycleSPACE, activities and performances for the kids from Boogie Babes, fun snacks and games from Whole Foods Market, and amazing bluegrass music including feature act The Hackensaw Boys.

Getting to the festival

Arriving By Car?

Make your way to the north side of RFK stadium. Enter the entrance to Lot 6 which is along Oklahoma Ave. N.E. Drive to the easternmost edge of Lot 6 and park near the Festival entrance.

Arriving By Metro?

Take the Blue or Orange line to the Stadium-Armory Station. FREE shuttle available!

Walking from the Stadium Armory Metro: Exit the station and head for RFK stadium. Walk to the north side of the stadium and into Parking lot 6. Cross Lot 6 heading east. At the edge you’ll find the Anacostia Riverwalk. Follow it north to the Festival Entrance. (Distance from Stadium-Armory Station is approximately 1.0 mile.)

Arriving By Bike?

Kingman Island is conveniently located along the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail and is readily accessible from all points of the city by bike. Parking for bikes will be provided at the event by BicycleSPACE . Consider traveling on your own by bike or join BicycleSPACE for a ride leaving from their shop in Mt Vernon Square.
